RICS survey betters estimates

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), through a survey of its members, has estimated that house prices will rise by 4.5% a year by 2019, down on previous estimates of 9%.

The poll also found that nationwide prices will grow 3.6% over the next 12 months, down from a 3.9% estimate made in March. Additionally, annual house price inflation should fall to 5.2% over the next five years.
