Green Deal scheme enhanced

2nd May 2014

The Government will offer households up to £7,600 each to install double glazing, boilers and insulation, as it attempts to encourage energy efficiency measures after the low take-up of its Green Deal loan scheme.

Consumers will be offered £1,000 for installing any two approved measures and a further £500 if they have bought the property within the previous year. Consumers can also qualify for up to £6,000 to cover up to 75% of the cost of installing solid wall insulation, and can claim a £100 refund for the cost of the initial Green Deal Assessment.
